Vitamin C In Food We Eat

Vitamin C is an essential vitamin to help our body work properly. There are many sources of Vitamin C; in fact, this vitamin can be acquired artificially or naturally. On the other hand, artificially acquired Vitamin C is from supplements and multivitamins that we take everyday. Vitamin C in foods we ingest is quite easy to acquire and it is sometime snot only Vitamin C that we get when we eat fruits rich in Vitamin C. The Vitamin C in food rich in it is metabolically compatible with our body so the breakdown of the vitamin is usually easier for our bodies. Our bodies have long been acclimated to receive its nutrition from the natural goodness of fruits and vegetables. Foods Rich In Vitamin C Other than the citrus fruits, Vitamin C in food such as broccoli is also abundant. Other foods rich in Vitamin C are papayas and mangoes.

Vitamin C in food such as these fruits is up to 95 mg per half a papaya o a cheek of mango. That is a lot of Vitamin C for just one serving of fruit. Making the fruits into juices can also give you the same amount of they contain as long as you do not heat them. Vitamin C in food like a small potato can give a person at least 25 mg for the daily requirement. Other foods that has Vitamin C are tomatoes and red and yellow peppers. These are just a few of the foods that can be alternatives to citrus fruits of supplementary tablets or pills of Vitamin C. Vitamin C in food or tablets need not be a dilemma to you. There is actually no need to get Vitamin C from tablets and pills because there are many alternatives to Vitamin C pills.

Most people prefer to pop a multi-vitamin rather eat fruits or vegetables to get their Recommended Daily Allowance of vitamins. They do not realize that other vitamins, along with Vitamin C, in food are readily available through various flavors and enjoyment. Next time you feel you need to take in Vitamin C, think of the good it will do your body to ingest fruits or vegetables instead of just popping a pill or tablet. Vitamin C in food is better than taking it through tablet form because there are other and elements which come with the fruit and vegetables as well.
